What is a dental crown?
A dental crown is a highly realistic solution to restore fractured, decayed, discoloured teeth or teeth undergone root canal treatment. Dental bridges are prepared if we need to replace one or more missing teeth.
The dental crown is placed on the abutment of the prepared tooth, just like a cap is being put on the head. The stability of the dental crown is provided by a special nickel-free metal frame or a completely metal-free (zircon) frame. Then we fire this special ceramic material on this frame. Fortunately it is really similar in colour and shape to the original teeth.
At Coradent we make long-lasting and reliable dental crowns and bridges, which perfectly fit to the teeth under it. Generally, final crowns and bridges get ready within 5-14 days. Until then we can provide temporary crowns which are also really similar to the original teeth.
Metal-free dental crowns | ZIRCON
Zicron dental crowns do not contain metal, so they are completely biocompatible. As for this they transmit lights through just as natural teeth. It is a highly popular solutions due to its high longevity and aesthetic characteristics.
This prosthesis fits with millimetre accuracy to the polished teeth, as it is being made with special CAD/CAM technology. Impressions made by the dentist are inserted to a computer, so we can virtually design your realistic and perfect crown. Based on inserted data the computer-controlled machine prepares your zircon crown.
